George Best Belfast City Airport has officially launched its Community Fund, a voluntary initiative which will see funds donated to charity for flights leaving or departing the airport outside the scheduled operating hours. That is between 21:30 and 23:59.

Ryanair, Europe's largest low fares airline, today announced the introduction of a new daily route from George Best Belfast City Airport to Bristol.
The new service will commence on 30th March providing the only low cost service between these two cities.

Manx2.com has seen a 12% increase in total bookings over the first two weeks of 2009 on its routes between Belfast and the Isle of Man, when compared to the same period last year - evidence that the weakness of sterling is encouraging people to holiday in Great Britain, rather than going abroad. In total, across all the company's GB routes, bookings are up by 13% on the above basis.
