Those travelling to the airport at the weekend should allow extra time for their journey due to a temporary restrict on traffic movements on Sydenham Bypass Lane 2 citybound and Lane 2 countrybound. This closure will operate continuously for 12 hours, commencing on Saturday 7th July at 23:00 hours and finishing on Sunday at 11:00.

Hundreds of people took to the streets to participate in the first George Best Belfast City Airport 5 mile road race on Sunday 20th May. The race through the streets of East Belfast, in memory of the late athlete Les Jones, received significant funding from the airport’s community fund and was organised by Athletics NI. Congratulations to all those who took part!
