Flybe, Europe’s largest and most successful regional airline and the largest scheduled carrier at George Best Belfast City Airport today marked its 1 millionth passenger on it’s very successful Belfast to Manchester route.
Charlie Lawson, aka Jim McDonald from Coronation Street - who was over for the Lord's Taverners Christmas lunch at the Europa Hotel - met and presented a beautiful bouquet of flowers and bottle of champagne to the lucky passenger and Coronation Street fan Elizabeth Taylor from Newtownabbey.

Flybe’s general manager market development Andrea Hayes, says; “We are proud and excited to mark the 1 millionth passenger on our Belfast to Manchester route. This very popular and successful service was originally launched in 2006 by Corrie Stars “Jack Duckworth” and “Maria Connor” so it is great to further highlight the Manchester / Belfast connection today with Charlie Lawson.

Flybe remains committed to keeping Britain on the move during these challenging economic times and to continuing to provide quality customer service included in which is to provide convenient and affordable travel options.”
