    • DEAL WITH US MARKET LEADER SET TO FUEL BUSINESS GROWTH IN NORTHERN IRELAND

      Thursday 08 Sep 2011

Two of Northern Ireland's leading businesses in the aviation sector, Eurojet and George Best Belfast City Airport, have combined to score a major first in the European marketplace after tying up a deal with a global leader in aircraft logistics and services.

The joint deal with Avfuel - the United States' largest independent aviation fuel supplier - means Eurojet Aviation and its groundhandling teams will have a greatly enhanced fuel supply offering for its private aviation customers at GBBCA, together with a range of new services available through the alliance.

The move ensures Eurojet Aviation are the first Fixed Based Operator (FBO) in Europe to join the Avfuel-branded network.

Eurojet MD Graeme Campbell said: "Avfuel have a presence in over 2,000 locations worldwide and are recognised as the market leader in their sector. We are delighted that the company has selected Northern Ireland as their entry point for the European marketplace and Eurojet as their first European affiliate. We are confident that this new partnership will unlock further opportunities in the near future."

Mark Beattie, Operations Director for the George Best Belfast City Airport, said: "Introducing an alternative fuel supplier allows us to be more competitive which will ultimately drive more business aviation traffic to the airport. Partnering with Avfuel will allow us to enhance the variety of products and services we currently offer to our customers."
