O'Briens Irish Sandwich Bar, the largest independently owned and operated sandwich chain in Northern Ireland, has chosen George Best Belfast City Airport as the perfect location for its newest outlet in the province.
Brothers Damien and Adrian Garvey, Directors of O'Briens Northern Ireland, are delighted with the latest development. Damien said:
"O'Briens' popularity and presence in Northern Ireland has grown immensely over the last few years and Belfast's Victoria Square currently houses the largest O'Briens store with seating for 120 customers.
"We are delighted our customers can now relax with a tasty O'Briens sandwich and a freshly roasted coffee in George Best Belfast City Airport before jetting off on their travels and are confident the outlet will match the success of its counterparts.
"O'Briens can proudly offer a wide variety of the freshest sandwiches, wraps, coffee, refreshments and snacks to our customers, many of whom return again and again.
"We felt our ever increasing menu would perfectly complement the airport's ever increasing array of domestic and European routes."
Joanne Deighan, Commercial Manager at George Best Belfast City Airport said:
"The quick, convenient, and not to mention yummy fresh sandwiches, wraps, refreshments and snacks offered by O'Briens are a welcome addition to our state of the art Departures Lounge that was officially opened last year.
"2010 saw 2.7 million passengers come through the airport and we are constantly looking for ways to improve the passenger experience. This is definitely a step in the right direction and feedback from customers has been fantastic.
"Not only is this great news for passengers, but the new outlet in the airport has created 14 jobs.
"We look forward to working with O'Briens and wish them continued success."
