    • NEW BELFAST TIMETABLE STARTS TODAY

      Manx2.com’s new timetable of early flights to Belfast City Airport takes off today. (Monday 5 September)

      The first flight from Isle of Man Airport to Belfast departs at 0730 most weekdays, arriving at 0805, meaning travellers can either spend a full day in the city or connect to the earliest of six daily BMI flights to Heathrow, departing at 0850.
       
      Belfast is now a thriving business centre in the heart of a city, which has enjoyed considerable regeneration and development in recent years. The ‘Titanic Quarter’, home to the famous shipyards of Harland and Wolff, is currently undergoing a £7 billion renovation and once completed in 2012, will be twice the size of Canary Wharf in London. In addition the shops, bars and restaurants cater to all tastes and ages, helping make Belfast a ‘must see’ according to the Lonely Planet guide.

      The last return flight to the Island will depart at 1900 daily, meaning travellers can spend a full day in the city.

      Chairman of Manx2.com, Noel Hayes, said: ‘The feedback we’ve had so far suggests the new flight timings are convenient for the many people who regularly travel to Belfast City Airport and we hope the new times will assist more people to develop business links in Northern Ireland. In addition, more people are discovering how these flights make it easy to connect to Heathrow and a range of other destinations, which are not currently accessible, direct from the Isle of Man.’
