Getting to or from Belfast City Airport couldn't be easier as we have excellent links to public transport and all major routes in and out of Belfast City centre.

By Car

The airport is located on the A2, Sydenham Bypass road between Belfast and Holywood, on the southern shore of Belfast Lough. Those approaching Belfast on the M1 or M2 should follow the signs to Belfast City Airport, leading to the A2 via the M3. 

By Taxi

Approved taxis operate from the Airport taxi rank outside the terminal building. Wheel-chair accessible taxis are available.

By Train

When travelling to the airport by train, you'll want to disembark at Sydenham train station.

Translink operates a rail service (0600-2300) Monday-Saturday to Central and Victoria Street Stations every 20 minutes. The service is hourly on Sundays (0900-2200).

Connections are available from Central Station to the rest of the rail network in Northern Ireland and the Irish Republic.

A shuttle bus service operates between the airport terminal and the rail halt at Sydenham. Please go to the information desk and ask for the service. You'll be instructed to wait by the taxi rank where the shuttle bus will collect you.

The same service operates between the rail halt and the airprot terminal. There is a telephone at the halt to request the service. Use this freephone service to dial: 07701281835

By Bus 

The Airport Express 600 operates every 30 minutes Monday to Saturday and every 40 minutes on Sunday from outside the airport to the Belfast Europa Bus Centre adjacent to the Europa Hotel, in the heart of the city.

The service, Airport Express 600, operates between 0545 and 2125.

No.3 Metrobus operates every 20 minutes from Sydenham train station to City Hall and every 10 minutes between 0600 and 1900. It is a ten minute walk from the airport terminal to the bus stop.

Airporter – the bus to visit Derry/Londonderry

The Airporter bus stop is located at the same bus shelter as the Airport Express 600, immediately to the left on exiting the Airport terminal. There are 18 departures daily Monday – Friday; with 8 departures on a Saturday & 10 on a Sunday.
