Getting to or from Belfast City Airport couldn't be easier as we have excellent links to public transport and all major routes in and out of Belfast City centre.

By Car

The airport is located on the A2, Sydenham Bypass road between Belfast and Holywood, on the southern shore of Belfast Lough. Those approaching Belfast on the M1 or M2 should follow the signs to Belfast City Airport, leading to the A2 via the M3. 

By Taxi

Approved taxis operate from the Airport taxi rank outside the terminal building. Wheel-chair accessible taxis are available.

By Train

Translink operate NIRailways train services across Northern Ireland. When travelling to the airport by train, you'll want to disembark at Sydenham train station. When travelling from the airport, board at Sydenham train station and travel to Belfast Central station where you can then make connections to locations across Northern Ireland and Ireland.

*Please note - there is a footbridge which passengers have to cross either going to or coming from Sydenham train station. Therefore, we would advise passengers against this transport option if they have reduced mobility or experience difficulty when using steps.

The airport operates a shuttle bus service between the airport terminal and Sydenham train station. Please go to the information desk on arrival and ask for the service. You'll be instructed to wait by the taxi rank where the shuttle bus will collect you.

The same service operates between the train station and the airport terminal. There is a telephone at the railway halt to request the service. Use this freephone service to dial: 07701281835

Belfast City Airport has a designated Airport Express 600 Service with buses every 30 minutes at peak times from the front of the terminal building.

Airporter – the bus to visit Derry/Londonderry

The Airporter bus stop is located at the same bus shelter as the Airport Express 600, immediately to the left on exiting the Airport terminal. There are 18 departures daily Monday – Friday; with 8 departures on a Saturday & 10 on a Sunday.
