To & from the airport

The airport is located on the A2, Sydenham Bypass road between Belfast and Holywood, on the southern shore of Belfast Lough. Those approaching Belfast on the M1 or M2 should follow the signs to Belfast City Airport, leading to the A2 via the M3.

A shuttle bus service operates between the airport terminal and the adjacent rail halt at Sydenham. Please go to the information desk and ask for the service. You'll be instructed to wait by the taxi rank where the shuttle bus will collect you.

Translink operates a rail service (0600-2300) Monday-Saturday to Central and Victoria Street Stations every 20 minutes. The service is hourly on Sundays (0900-2200).

Connections are available from Central Station to the rest of the rail network in Northern Ireland and the Irish Republic.

The Airport Express 600

The Airport Express 600 operates every 20 minutes Monday to Saturday and every 40 minutes on Sunday from outside the airport to the Belfast Europa Bus Centre adjacent to the Europa Hotel, in the heart of the city.

The service, Airport Express 600, operates between 0545 and 2125, and costs £2.40 single and £3.60 return.

No.3 Metrobus

No.3 Metrobus operates every 20 minutes from Sydenham train station to City Hall and every 10 minutes between 0600 and 1900. It is a ten minute walk from the airport terminal to the bus stop. Metro fares can be seen here.

The Airporter

The 'Airporter' service operates 13 coaches Mon- Fri six on Saturday and eight on Sunday to Londonderry. The Airporter service includes free Wi Fi on board the coaches and tickets can be booked online in advance or purchased from the Tourist Information Desk in the concourse.

The Airporter bus stop is located in the same bus shelter as the Airport Express 600 on the left hand side.
