IGNITE Youth Leadership Programme

IGNITE is an innovative joint youth leadership initiative facilitated by Belfast City Airport, in partnership with award-winning film charity Cinemagic, which aims to provide young people from all backgrounds with life-changing opportunities. 

Launched in 2019 by Senior Vice President of HBO and Game of Thrones creator Jay Roewe, IGNITE inspires participants from secondary schools and higher education colleges across Greater Belfast to develop valuable employability and life skills that will open doors in the future and allow them to gain an NLP Diploma in Personal and Career Development.

In 2024, IGNITE celebrated its 5th year, surpassing its initial goal of providing life changing opportunities to 100 young people.

The 2024 Graduation

Following completion of the programme, the students enjoyed a graduation ceremony which took place at Stormont Pavilion. The students were treated to an inspiring and insightful speech by Pete Snodden, who shared valuable experiences and lessons from his career.

This special event honoured the outstanding achievements of the 23 young individuals who successfully completed the programme in 2023/2024, celebrating and recognising their hard work and dedication throughout the programme.
