The VP1 form for a 1-5 day visitor pass
The pass will be valid for 5 consecutive days only and the visitor will not be able to receive another 1-5 day pass within a 3 month period, they will need to produce both parts of their driving licence or their passport when their pass is being issued and whenever they are asked by security while they are on site.
Any department requiring temporary passes outside of the normal opening hours should ask the person requiring a pass to complete their section of a VP1 form, which should then be authorised by a supervisor in the department requiring the visitor then the form and a scan or copy of the visitor’s identification they intend to use for the visit should be returned to the pass office, the pass office will then issue the passes which will be available for collection from security at the outsize baggage point. When collecting, the airport full pass holder will have to sign for the passes to say they have been collected, the passes can be returned to the pass office box at the office door or at the out sized baggage point at the end of the visit.
People who will require the passes for more than 1 day will hold on to the temporary pass they have been issued for the duration of their visit, but they must continue to use the original form of ID they submitted with their application throughout the visit and the pass must be returned at the end of their visit or the £80 fine will be enforced to the escorting department.
In the event of a pass being required for an emergency outside of office hours please contact the airport duty manager on extension 5053, they will be able to assist in some circumstances for genuine emergencies, but they will not be able to help in situation where a department has simply forgotten to follow the procedures above for scheduled work, on those occasions the visitor will be refused access until a temporary pass has been arranged from the pass office.
The VP2 form for a 6-60 day visitor pass
The pass will be valid for 60 days, once the pass has expired no other form of temporary pass can be issued, the visitor must move on to a full pass.
