The role is to provide aid for all passengers who require PRM services from and to the aircraft on departure and arrival at the airport.
To provide a high standard of customer care and knowledge of the airport layout airside and landside. Completion of in-depth induction and refresher training which covers the core training needs to become a PRM Operative/ Driver.
Operation and driving of Ambulift to and from aircraft, positioning the vehicle at the aircraft door for embarkation and disembarkation of PRM passengers.
Essential Criteria for PRM Driver
Must be 18 years or over.
Hold a full UK/NI drivers Licence with no more than 3 penalty points.
Pass a basic medical in order to be accepted for and gain an airport driving permit
Successful completion of Company in-depth driver training including demonstration of knowledge and competency whilst operating equipment.
Possess good organisational skills with a keen eye for detail and a “Can do ‘’ attitude with an ability to multi-task.
Possess excellent Customer Service skills.
Enjoy working with people in a busy environment
Adhere to excellent grooming standards
Be physically fit in order to assist with passengers in wheelchairs and passenger baggage using our safe manual handling techniques.
Demonstrate excellent communication skills and be able to resolve issues and complaints.
Desirable Criteria
Previous driving experience in specialised equipment.
Forklift driving licence
Advanced driving course
Previous aviation experience
Previous driving experience
Daily Tasks
- Observe the rules and Safe Systems of Work for all tasks.
- Adhere and understand the risk assessments in place for each task and follow the Company Health and Safety policy.
- PRM meeting, boarding and arrival duties.
- Daily admin duties
- Observe all CCS Airport Services Customer Care requirements.
- Communicate effectively with all colleagues on shift, working with all staff assisting PRM passengers in a positive manner.
- Troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
- Follow the company procedure for reporting all incidents and accidents.
- This role will consist of shift work any of the 7 days per week and any day of the year including bank holidays.
- Cleaning and upkeep of Ambilifts
- General housekeeping of all CCS office / desk areas
- Any other duties deemed appropriate by the Station manager
Driving
- Basic medical arranged by the Company
- Airport Airside Driver training
- Specific Equipment driver Training.
- Interfacing with Aircraft.
- Equipment daily checks and emergency lowering procedures
- Equipment failure procedures
- Equipment Tail lift and operation.
- Transfer of passengers from and to wheelchair and from and to aircraft
- Marshalling banks person training
- Operation of all PRM equipment
- Inclement weather procedures
- Defect reporting procedures
- Fuelling
