Arriving by taxi:
If you are being dropped off by taxi, this can be done in either the Short Stay Car Park, where there are designated Blue Badge spaces, or in the Express Pick-Up and Drop-Off area. An assistance call point is located at the front of the Car Park Assistance Office in both the Express Drop Off and Pick Up area and the Short Stay Car Park.
Parking:
We offer options for Blue Badge holders across all three car parks at Belfast City Airport, with designated spaces available in each. Please note that you must reserve the specific car park you wish to use, as bookings are not transferable between car parks. Spaces are available for both drive-up and pre-booked customers. We kindly ask that you display your Blue Badge clearly in your vehicle while parked.
Assistance to the terminal and onward to your flight can be requested via an intercom located in the Disability Assistance Call Point shelters, located in the Blue Badge zones of the Long Stay Car Park and Premier Car Park, and also the Car Park Office at the Express Drop Off and Pick Up area.

Blue Badge holders can also avail of up to 2 hours of free parking to drop off or pick up passengers in our Short Stay Car Park. When you have finished at the airport, the driver needs to present the entry ticket and the valid Blue Badge at the Car Assistance Park Office. The entry ticket will then be validated for up to 2 hours. If your stay has been less than 2 hours, the validated ticket will work to exit. If the stay has been over 2 hours, the parking will be charged at the normal rate.
Alternatively, the driver can press the intercom at any pay station or on exit, and a member of the car park team will confirm valid Blue Badge ownership before validating the 2 hours of free parking.
Arriving by bus:
Belfast City Airport has a designated Airport Express 600 service, which buses passengers every 20 minutes during peak times from just outside the terminal building to Belfast Grand Central Station in the centre of Belfast. The journey takes around 10 minutes.
Tickets are available from the ticket machines in the bus shelter area or from the driver onboard.
For a contactless experience, a ticket vending machine is also situated at the airport, allowing passengers to pre-pay for their journeys using both cash and card. Translink has also introduced contactless payment onboard, so passengers can simply tap once with a contactless credit or debit card, or smart device, on the driver’s ticket machine reader.
All Translink Airport Express buses are low-floor and accessible for wheelchair users. The vehicles are equipped with audio-visual screens and sound to assist those with hearing loss or sight impairments.
For further information, up-to-date timetables and fares, visit the Translink website.
Arriving by train:
There is a train stop at Sydenham, with a footbridge across the dual carriageway. After crossing, you’ll find an entrance gate to the airport grounds. Once through the gate, there is a shelter containing a telephone link to request our courtesy vehicle, which will take you to the terminal building.
Please note: the footbridge between Sydenham Rail Halt and Belfast City Airport means that wheelchair access is not available when travelling to the airport by train.
