IGNITE Youth Leadership Programme – Terms of Service
1. Eligibility
To participate in the IGNITE Youth Leadership Programme, you must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Aged between 16-18 years old at the time of application.
- Be a resident within Northern Ireland.
- Be available for every one of the 7 session dates that the programme runs on.
By entering the programme, you confirm that you meet all the eligibility requirements outlined above.
2. Programme Overview
The IGNITE Youth Leadership Programme is aimed at developing future young leaders through a specialised leadership development programme. As part of the application process, participants are required to submit a video entry that meets specific criteria outlined in Section 3 below.
3. Video Submission Criteria
To be considered for judging in the programme, your video submission must meet the following criteria:
- Length: The video must be 2 minutes or under.
- Format: Only one video per person is allowed. Multiple submissions from the same participant will not be accepted.
- Content: The video must feature the participant answering the questions specified in the instructions. Your video must clearly show and/or explain your responses, demonstrating your leadership qualities, insights, and motivations.
- Audio/Visual Quality: The video must be of sufficient quality to allow us to judge your entry (e.g., clear audio and video, proper lighting).
- Submission Deadline: Video submissions must be received by the stated deadline, which will be communicated on the programme entry page. For the avoidance of doubt, the programme will open on the 8th of April and close on the 1st May.
- Belfast City Airport reserves the right to enhance criteria if required for shortlisting purposes.
4. Submission Process
To submit your video, please follow the submission instructions provided on the official website or the submission platform. Video entries must be uploaded via the method specified on the platform. Ensure that your submission includes all requested information, including your name, contact details, and any additional documentation or details required for consideration.
5. Ownership and Rights to Submissions
By submitting a video, you retain the ownership of the content of your video. However, by participating in the programme, you grant Belfast City Airport the non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, distribute, and display your video for purposes related to the promotion and management of the IGNITE programme, including but not limited to:
- Judging and reviewing the entries.
- Promoting the programme, including via social media, websites, or other media.
- Sharing the video as part of the Youth Leadership Programme's promotional materials or related communications.
You also confirm that the video submission is entirely your original work and does not infringe on any third-party rights, including copyright or intellectual property rights.
6. Judging and Selection
All eligible video submissions that meet the criteria outlined in Section 3 will be reviewed by the selection committee. The selection committee will evaluate the videos based on the responses to the programme questions, leadership qualities demonstrated, and overall presentation.
The final selection of winners will be at the discretion of the judging panel. Belfast City Airport reserves the right to disqualify any submission that does not comply with these Terms of Service or the submission criteria.
7. Notification
Shortlisted candidates will be notified via email or phone to be offered a place in the IGNITE Youth Leadership Programme. Details and terms will be provided to the successful applicants, and their participation in the programme will be subject to acceptance of the relevant programme terms.
8. Data Protection and Privacy
We collect and process personal data related to your participation in the programme in accordance with our Privacy Notice. By entering the programme, you consent to the collection and use of your personal data as described in the Privacy Notice. Your video submission, if selected, may also be used in promotional materials, as detailed above.
9. Disqualification
Belfast City Airport reserves the right to disqualify any participant or entry that:
- Does not meet the submission criteria.
- Contains offensive, inappropriate, or harmful content.
- Infringes on any intellectual property rights or other third-party rights.
- Violates any laws or regulations.
If you are disqualified, you will be notified and your submission will be removed from consideration, and your information will be processed in accordance with the privacy notice listed on the IGNITE Programme webpage.
10. Limitation of Liability
By participating in the programme, you agree that Belfast City Airport, its affiliates, and its employees will not be liable for any damages, losses, or injuries that may result from your participation in the programme. You understand that participation in the programme is at your own risk.
11. Amendments to Terms
Belfast City Airport reserves the right to amend these Terms of Service at any time. Any changes will be communicated to participants via the official programme website or email. Participants will be required to agree to the updated terms in order to remain eligible for the programme.
12. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Northern Ireland. Any disputes relating to these Terms of Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Northern Ireland.
