La Piazza Brings a Slice of Italy to Belfast City Airport

Date: 15 Apr 2022

George Best Belfast City Airport has enhanced its food and beverage offering this Spring with the official opening of new Italian inspired restaurant, La Piazza.

Creating over 15 new jobs, the restaurant will serve a variety of pizza and pasta dishes, and opens its doors just in time to cater for passengers travelling through the airport during the Easter period.

The introduction of the Italian eatery also coincides with an uplift in demand for travel as new routes to the UK and Europe have commenced with Aer Lingus Regional and Flybe.

Welcoming the new addition to the airport’s Departure Lounge, Joanne Deighan, Commercial Manager at Belfast City Airport, commented:

“We are excited to bring a new taste to our terminal with La Piazza, our first ever pizza and pasta food unit.

“La Piazza has something for everybody to enjoy, with a family friendly atmosphere and a range of dishes to suit all palettes.

“With an appetising menu and the ability to order through a QR system, we are confident that La Piazza will be a popular and convenient choice for our passengers, making the journey through Belfast City Airport even more enjoyable.

“We can’t wait to have our passengers experience a slice of the action.”

La Piazza will be operated by HMS Host, which currently manages the Artisan Bar/Restaurant and Starbucks at Belfast City Airport.
