Community Fund

Belfast City Airport officially launched the Community Fund in February 2009 and since its inception has donated nearly £500,000 back into the Greater Belfast community by working with over 150 different groups and projects.

We recognise the importance of being a good neighbour and engage directly with local community groups to identify projects that can benefit from our Community Fund. Projects range from schools to sports teams, community centres to choirs and educational campaigns and exciting event programmes.

Community Fund Applications

Community Fund support is available to schools, sports teams, community centres, choirs, organisations running educational campaigns or exciting community event programmes that deliver real, long-lasting, social, physical, mental, environmental, or educational benefits to the people of Greater Belfast.

Belfast City Airport's Community Fund has now closed for applications.

Sponsorships

We have a commitment to making a positive impact in our local community and partner with a number of leading organisations such as the Eastside Awards, environmental initiatives such as the Northern Ireland Best Kept Awards, and iconic sporting events such as the Bangor 10K, to make this happen.

Charity Partner of the Year

Addressing the needs of individuals in the greater Belfast area is key element of our Corporate Responsibility plan and was a driving force in choosing our Charity Partner of the Year – AWARE NI.

The mental health and wellbeing charity provides a range of potentially life-saving services through its established network of 23 support groups across Northern Ireland.

These groups support people with depression and bipolar disorder, in addition to delivering community outreach programmes into communities, schools, colleges, universities and workplaces.

We are proud to have worked with AWARE on many initiatives and special fundraising events so far and have committed to our participation in several other projects and staff volunteering opportunities throughout the remainder of the partnership.

Our involvement will undoubtedly help raise greater awareness of the issues that people face in Belfast and generate funds that will assist the charity in delivering these vital services.

Working Together

Over the years, we have sought to give more than a little back to the community by working with charity partners to deliver countless activities and raise money for Northern Irish charities.

We regularly partner with local charities and organisations on smaller, ad-hoc activities such as in-terminal collections and charitable donations. Should you wish to explore opportunities of this nature, please contact [email protected]
